So now that we know the fates of Pearl & Co., and obviously they're pretty harsh, what say you all to what happens to the b-ball program in general? Scholly losses? Post-season ban? Combination?

I would say no postseason ban and a loss of a couple of scholarships. Losing Bruce cost the program more than losing a couple of scholarships will ever do.

Which to me is more crippling. Especially since Counzo blew all our available slots even though he knew he entered the recruiting process late and the best of the best were signed elsewhere. He should have pocketed some. What if the AA says you lose 2 per year for a couple years? We will not be able to fill the vacancies Cam Tatum and Renaldos spots open up. The post season ban wouldn't have been as bad seeing as this years team will be horrible anyhow. I paid for my season tickets the last day of JULY but thought man I am afraid I am dropping all this money and we are going back to less than mediocre basketball for a couple seasons it seems. I hope I am wrong, after all i will be there but it will sting. but I hope no schollys taken away or Counzo will be dealt a almost fatal blow. Go Vols!!!

According to sources on Volquest no additional penalties for either football or basketball

i'll wait for the AA's ruling. i say we get hammered in basketball for scholly's. at least 4 over two years taken away. hope i'm wrong.

I was listening to the radio today on the way home in Nashville. "Reports from Knoxville are that no other penalities will go against the U.T. basketball or football teams. The penalities will be against Pearl and his assistants not the university. Also, no further word on the baseball program." NCAA went after the coaches and not the program.
Only possible bad news will be concerning the baseball program.
