If you have been watching NASCAR over the past five years, I wouldn't really say you "missed" anything. Pretty much the same thing that has happened like 100 other times. JJ wins in a runaway on a boring mile and a half track.

he finished 16th, not bad for him on this type of track. I didn't watch much of the race, the hockey game held my attention almost from start to finish.

I don't know if you caught the presser after the race. Jimmie said his dominance is good for NASCAR. He compared himself to Tiger Woods in the PGA and Roger Federer in the ATP.

If he keeps winning, I think tv ratings will go down even further. Someone has to be able to stop him. Harvick? I don't know.

He corrected himself. He said the way Tiger has dominated golf was good for the PGA, so the way he's dominating racing is good for NASCAR.

I was just being funny. He's lost it if he thinks it is good for Nascar though. Most people outside of his fan base believe it's more to do with his crew chief and his equipment. I don't think there's much he can do to change it either. I'm not saying he's not a good driver but I don't think he is the best driver in Nascar today.

I also find it ironic that a Jeff Gordon fan is complaining about a young hotshot coming in and dominating against the more established veterans.

Heh, I'm sure it was just a coincidence since it happened another time as well, but the first caution for the caution lights malfunctioning just happened to come on a restart where two or three cars got by Gordon on the restart. He got a better jump the next time and set sail... and no caution.
