I thought we were finished recruiting for the 2010 basketball class, but Wes Rucker said that Pearl said we will be trying to add another big man to this class.

Any guesses on who we are looking at? Luke Cothron, Moses Abraham, others??

Any info would be appreciated.

I also saw that we offered Todd Mayo a SG from Memphis. I'm also curious where these scholarships are coming from.

Both of those guys. Abraham has some sort of connections with Negedu.

I believe that both are from Nigeria. Some of the same people who helped Negedu get to the US also helped Abraham do the same. Those people were impressed with UT, and especially so in how well they took care of Negedu during and after his heart problem. You never know.

Speaking of big men, Michael Bradley from Tyner High in Chattanooga commited to Connecticut. Rivals does not show if he signed the LOI in the early signing period. I don't remember UT making any push to sign him. Of course, there was Phillip Jurick of Chattanooga, too. This kid is 6'10", but only weighs 210 lbs. It shows that UT never made an offer. Some others that did make one beside Conn. were: Boston Col., Drake, Georiga, and Va. Commonweath. Just curious why we didn't, as he's ranked the 15th best center prospect.

Moses will be a Vol its simple him and Negedu will hit it off perfect when he visits and then it will be all over from there....

If we take another big man, I hope it's a low post player and not another Dirk wannabe.

We need another big man in a bad way. But we also need another combo guard. The college game is won or lost by guard play. I believe that we need to move Scotty to the 3 next year and play smaller, quicker, better ball handling players.
I have watched Youtube and seen videos of both Todd Mayo and Abarham Moses. I believe both could help us next year.

Todd Mayo strong 3 point shooter.

Abraham Moses 6'9" 240 shot blocker

Go Bruce Get them both:peace2::peace2::peace2:

Lol, sure.... Mostly cause both are from Nigeria, and Todd Mayo will be going to Memphis i can promise that....

There is just that minor detail of Memphis offering him first.

If they offer, I think the advantage is to Memphis. That would honestly be fine to me. There are some things that concern me about this kid.

Yes, he is. But he wasn't a popular name until this season. He has been very dominant this season.

I've seen Todd Mayo play 3 times this season. He's very good ,but he is definitely not OJ. He'll be a project ,because he has lots of room to improve. He could be a good addition to the program. Plus, he has some good genes. :whistling:

Skylar has had a rough time adjusting to the college level-how fast D1 players can close and he is not getting as wide open in College as HS. He is working his tail off and is a walk-on. Some complainers need to put things in perspective.

Who is complaining? He needs to remain a walk on.
