Did We Know About Mohamed Atta? - IBD - Investors.com

Yet the fact is that the Pentagon bought and destroyed 10,000 copies of a book, "Operation Dark Heart," written by Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, a Bronze Star recipient and career Army intelligence officer, that contained a chapter on a pre-9/11 intelligence operation, Able Danger.

In a statement, the Pentagon said it "decided to purchase copies of the first printing because they contained information which could cause damage to national security." The books were destroyed on Sept. 20.
--------------------------------------

Shaffer went public in August 2005 with details about a secret military intelligence unit called Able Danger in which he was involved. The unit, using a technique known as data mining, determined a year before 9/11 that four of the future hijackers were al-Qaida operatives, including 9/11 ringleader Mohamed Atta.

After his revelation, Shaffer was stripped of his security clearance and cast into military limbo. In October 2006, Rep. Christopher Shays, who was chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Emergency Threats and International Relations, wrote to Shaffer's superior, Maj. Gen. Elbert Perkins, about the reasons for the clearance revocation and whether it was a retaliatory move.

Shays wrote that an "investigation of security clearance retaliation" showed that "the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) used the security clearance system in an improper manner against LTC Shaffer" and that Shaffer's alleged misuse of a government cell phone and travel voucher was a matter of administrative, not punitive, action under the uniformed code of military justice.

Was this an attempt to silence Shaffer and discredit and bury information about Able Danger?

The good news is that many copies were sent out to be reviewed and we should see some of the redacted material on the internet one of these days.

Anyone remember Congressman Curt Weldon and his campaign to bring the Able Danger material before the 911 commission??

George Soros political attack machine helped Weldon lose his seat in the House using the fact that Weldon's daughter had lobbied for the Serbians who were demonized by the NY Slimes, the Clinton administration and the muslim brotherhood. Serbia had been a traditional ally of America and the Serbians suffered more civilians killed and more ethnically cleansed from their traditional homelands than any other group in the Balkans. Additionally they were the only ones to have their religious buildings destroyed.

Meanwhile such notables as Juan McLame and Rosary Joe, the strangler, Biden, shamelessly were paid to lobby for the Kosovo Liberation Army that the Clinton administration magically transformed from an international terrorist organization to fellow freedom fighters overnight.

Do you believe in magic??

Jamie Gorelick, Mistress of Disaster

It's not often that one person plays key roles in two -- count 'em, two -- trillion-dollar disasters. Welcome, my friends, to the world of well-connected Democrat Jamie Gorelick.

In 2004, observers were "astonished" to discover that a key member of the 9/11 Commission had a fatal conflict-of-interest. Jamie Gorelick had served as a Deputy Attorney General under Bill Clinton from 1994 to 1997.

It was later revealed that Gorelick had established a pre-Patriot Act "wall" that prevented the foreign intelligence and criminal investigative communities from collaborating.

Her 1995 memo, entitled "Instructions on Separation of Certain Foreign Counterintelligence and Criminal Investigations", stated explicitly that they would "go beyond what is legally required, [to] prevent any risk of creating an unwarranted appearance that FISA is being used to avoid procedural safeguards which would apply in a criminal investigation."

The result: shortly before 9/11, Gorelick's wall "specifically impeded the investigation into Zacarias Moussaoui", the so-called "20th hijacker."

At the time, an enraged FBI investigator wrote a memo to headquarters which included the sentence, 'Whatever has happened to this -- someday someone will die -- and wall or not -- the public will not understand why we were not more effective..."

The 2004 disclosure that Gorelick's service as a 9/11 Commissioner was the archetypical conflict-of-interest should have triggered a cacophony of complaints and demands for a new investigation. Instead, the lamestream media turned deaf and dumb and the controversy faded into the background.

Gorelick's "wall" wrapped a blindfold around America just when it needed its vision to stop the attacks that killed thousands and which sucked a half a trillion dollars out of the economy.

Clinton started his first day in office by removing the FBI intelligence liason office from the White House, they and all their equipment were moved out by noon.

I don't recall any lamestream media outlet ever reporting anything about that at all.

How do I know, I have been life long friends with one of the guys who worked there since he was five years old and he informed me later.
