Just another sec rivalry game that has so much at stake for teams, coaches, players, right up there with Bama UGA, the three headed monsters. Especially Gator coach Napier and Joe (Big Game) Milton.

Alas, it’s the “Curse of a Contender.” For a decade or more, prior to last year, we haven’t been in the hunt for anything. We were thrilled to just get an invite to any bowl game. Now, things have changed. Now EVERY game is a “must win” game to achieve our goals. More stress? Obviously…but it’s worth it. Go Big Orange!

Sadly, this does account for a portion of the fan base, seemingly all of whom post on this forum.

Usually those who are either in social or work trash talking situations with fans of other schools, so every win or loss is taken as a personal issue.

I consider UF, Bama, UGA, and the big non conference games “must wins” every year. I could care less if we slip up to Mizzou or USC on occasion because they are irrelevant. And most really good teams will lose a game like that even in route to a natty.
