Another Obama nomination.

Obama nominated University of California, Berkeley, law professor Goodwin Liu to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday.

Well, at least it wasn't a nomination to a real circuit (FYI, the 9th Circuit is the most overturned circuit in the US).

At age 39, Liu's confirmation to the appellate court could eventually make him an attractive candidate for a future Supreme Court nomination.


Goodwin Liu clerked for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the U.S. Supreme Court. He also served as special assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Education during the Clinton Administration. Professor Liu serves on the board of directors of the ACLU of Northern California.
