Hear me out, guys; I think we can get him out of retirement.
He has 11 titles and has coached some of the sport's greatest players. He's also won championships as a player, and he's got the highest winning percentage of any head coach in history.
I'm referring, of course, to Phil Jackson.
He's been courted by a few teams recently, but luckily he's still available. I really feel like we have a good chance with him, and I also think that, much like other VN posters say when discussing the Gruden situation, since neither Jackson nor Hart has publicly denied this report that Jackson is headed to Knoxville, it must be true! I mean seriously, what's with Hart's smokescreens, throwing names out there like Gruden (who?), Strong, Smart, Davis, etc.? Those are all very clever misdirections, but it's really just a diversion from the real name -- Philip Douglas Jackson.
As all VN posters know from their collective experiences in high-level finance and business careers, this is how people at the upper echelons of institutions make important decisions. Certainly Dave Hart should be on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Digg, MySpace, eHarmony, and Christian Mingle with at least hourly updates on the search. Obviously he owes it to the fans. In fact, I heard from an ex-girlfriend's stepcousin (who once pumped gas for a $100-a-year booster) that Dave Hart enjoys his morning coffee in front of VolNation and takes copious notes. It's well known that he is very concerned with what the influential and important people of VN think about the process he's currently implementing.
I just can't believe that Hart hasn't come out and given an in-depth interview with Brian Williams or Wolf Blitzer about the specific steps he's taking and posting a copy of his daily schedule/itinerary for public scrutiny, much like President Obama. After all, it is our God-given right as armchair athletic directors to see this information!
Basically, if Hart doesn't get Jackson, he's a worthless excuse for a human being and should be fired, framed for a serious crime he didn't commit, and exiled to somewhere crazy like Tuscaloosa.
Other names in the running:
1. Mike Krzyyzerkresassgskzyski
2. Lou Holtz
3. John Madden
4. John Calipari
5. Donald Trump
6. That fat chick from "Jersey Shore"
Thoughts?
