Same city where a AA man sadly committed suicide by hanging himself near city hall earlier this year. The family went on the news and demanded justice saying he was perfectly sane and would never kill himself and it was a racial lynching. They held a big protest that weekend. Then the surveillance videos came out showing the man purchasing rope at a local hardware store and walking to the city hall early in the morning alone. It was also released that the man had a history on mental illness, a fact that the family knew all along.

I know that i already made this point in another thread and forgive me in advance for being that person,but isn't it a bit odd that an majority of the higher profile incidents are happening in "the swing states" (Minnesota,Wisconsin,and now Pennsylvania)?

And to those desperately wanting to screech “but a $1M bond isn’t fair it’s disproportionately high!” correct it is. That’s the whole point. To send a message and thus far at least in Lancaster the message has been received.

And “so you thing that’s fair?!” yes I do. The judge acted to keep the peace and I’d say he did at least this far. If the “protestors” feel it’s unfair have their attorneys fight it in court.

So have there been any 8th amendment challenges posted yet on the bail amounts? If this protesting community feels it’s unjust they should be filing challenges then.
