"Radio here in MS (Miss State is an hour south of me) says tonight he is leaving Miss State for The U. He wants the job badly, which has been known here since Shannon was let go. His offensive coordinator is Manny Diaz, whose dad was a 2 term mayor there in Miami. The radio show said their source is a Miss State athletic dept official. So, I would say it is gonna happen in days. As a Cane fan, I am elated. He is the offensive mind who can succeed with that off. talent. He is the perfect fit for The U.

You know how sports radio is, but he name dropped a Miss State athletic dept official as his supposed source. Either he knows the truth or wanted to be the talk of the town tonight"

He'd be an idiot not to take it if offered. Miss State will never be a contender

Would not surprise me. Will be a reality check to MSU fans that they really don't have a program worth anything other than annoying cowbells

Oh okay. I would think if Miami offered, there wouldn't be much thinking involved on Mullen's part. Easy sell IMO.

MSU is nowhere to stay. They are in NCAA trouble for the Cam thing but will get a pass if Auburn comes out clean. Otherwise, they have several violations. He'd be smart to bail.

I still think Miami should be cautious about Mullen. He had a good record this year, but the SEC really wasn't that great, IMO, at least not at the top.

Mullen should go if they offer. Recruiting is better, tradition is better, and the conference will be easier to win in. I've never thought he would be in Starkville that long.

Miss St. is the kind of job that'll kill a career over time. You have your one or two good seasons, and then you get out while your name is hot.

He can't let good opportunities pass him by, because he won't sustain success there. He'll end up somewhere between the next Greg Schiano or the next Tim Brewster if he stays in Starkville.
