Rutgers takes the lead 17-14. If the Scarlet Knights escape with a victory today, their matchup with South Florida could have National implications.

GA, Lex, and I talked about this last year. If a Big East team goes undefeated, and there is only 1 other unblemished team, they should be in the title game. Otherwise, the Big East shouldn't have a BCS slot.

Yes. If a conference is going to have a guaranteed BCS slot, it only makes sense that an undefeated team from said league should get preference over a one loss team from another league. If not, they shouldn't have the slot.

Agree 100%. I'm tired of people calling the Big East a fraudulent conference. Going 5-0 in bowl games last year should have erased their dubiousness.

Actually, looking at their standings, I think one could make a good argument that they're one of the top 3 conferences in America.

Maybe even the Big 10. A team's yet to step up and claim the top spot. OSU has looked average at best but there's been a lot of inconsistency by the rest.

I'm just glad Tennessee didn't play today. After sitting in the blazing sun to watch Miami's suckfest against Duke, then coming back to the condo in time to see OU puke all over themselves, I don't think I could have taken a poor UT performance. I need a pick me up. Think I'll go see Keira Riley "perform" at Tootsie's and watch the Taylor-Pavlik fight there.
