Running away with worst coach in the SEC in basketball.

No injuries, no players failing to qualify, no suspended players he is just a crap coach. Alabama is not competing against Purdue. He also looks completely befuddled. He is not coaching or adjusting or exhorting he just looks like a player who accidentally ended up wearing a suit and having people look to him as a coach.

The worst 3 coaches in the SEC are probably all in the west but Pelphrey is recruiting and Trent Johnson is turning things around.
Alabama is ruining our rpi with losses to freaking St. Peters etc.

Auburn will be hard to gauge. Grant inherited a lot more talent in Tuscaloosa. Luke Cothern not qualifying meant Auburn would be horrible this year even if Roy Williams or Izzo was coaching them.

Tennessee had one game where we looked awful last year against USC, but Grant consistently has been sucking it up.

E Moore and J Johnson are studs. Purdue as a top 25 team all year seems deserved.

Damn. That dude's just eight games into his tenure there. Maybe jumping the gun a little to say he's a failure as a coach?

His first two years do not compare well with Mark Gottfried, and I doubt he will have anything close to the success Mark had in his first 4 years, and I am not a Mark fan...

Why would you post this?? Absolute bs...What are your sources for info??...For your information, their leading scorer IS suspended...They have nobody with perimeter shooting ability...They have no inside depth...and they are just learning Grant's style and system.....At least get your info straight before you rip a 2nd year coach by calling him the worst in the SEC...Unfortunately for Vol fans I'm afraid Grant will do great...Have you even bothered to see the 2011 class he signed?? I can't stand the Turdalosers any more than most UT fans but this thread is just stupid...

JaMychal Green was suspended AFTER they lost to St. Peters. Pelphrey had 4 guys out that he could blame his losses on.

Cooper and Randolph were coming to Alabama no matter what. So he picked up two centers??? We have two players at this point and our class is ranked closely to Grant's.

Have you watched any of their games? I am very pro SEC and watched lots of their games and have been very angry at how pathetic Grant has been as a coach.

I wish at this point Alabama had 1 loss in a close one to Purdue.

If that was the case, or even if he had lost that game and 1 other, he would not be the worst coaching job in the SEC so far.

With a full roster he went down and laid a pile of steaming poo on the ground for the SEC that stunk all the way to Knoxville from the Caribbean.

Purdue is a very good team, wasn't Bama playing without thier star due to suspension?

You are completely correct. You cannot be deeply disappointed by someone you did not expect good things from. I love the press and liked what Grant did with the rams and thought he would restore Alabama to respectability.

He already choked on freaking applesauce...

During the time period from November to January, all I want is for SEC teams to not embarrass the conference. It is fine to lose to Purdue especially with your leading scorer suspended, but compete! Do not give up!

What is NEVER okay is losing to freaking Iowa and even worse St. Peters. Those losses are absolutely disgusting and are the reason that Grant is doing the worst job in the league.

I am also over time wondering more and more and more about whether I have overestimated Billy D. Hard to say a coach lucked into stud players who win two NCs, but he seems since that time to have been unable to put together a team with toughness inside. This team is better in that area than last year, but unless they get much better still they will fall short of expectations yet again.

Yes I have watched them play...4 games...and one was the St Peters loss...Big deal...You being"angry" with Grant does not make him "the Worst Coach in the SEC"...You have still started a BS THREAD!!!!

You stated NOBODY was suspended...INCORRECT!!! Don't change it by saying AFTER St Peters...

You said worst COACH .....Not, as you state now coaching JOB...

Unless you were their parents or the actual players, you have NO way of knowing if Cooper OR Randolph were "coming there no matter what"...Grant recruited them there and is responsible for EVERY player they sign while he's there.....

When you started this thread, your ignorant title used Anthony as the name..That in itself shows little awareness of the subject by using his FIRST name, not last....

Unless you are inside their program, you have NO idea how Green's issues (yes he was suspended at the end of LAST season too) have affected this team on AND off the court....

I was born in,and still have friends and relatives in, Homewood Alabama and would bet I know MUCH more about their program than you do..And I CERTAINLY would not start a BS thread with Coach Grant's ability to coach being questioned after ONE SEASON!!!! If you think you know so much, ask a person with REAL KNOWLEDGE about their program and they will call you on your bs...Most will tell you their BB situation is a LOT like UT's football situation...It is gonna be a while before they are where they want to be...And they are happy with Coach Grant...It's too bad you're not!!!

MHF loves to call other people out but he can't face the fact that he's wrong probably the most out of any poster on here. He won't even address the many times he has been wrong when confronted with it.
