Anti-war Rally Goes Too Far?

I am actually kind of glad that these neo-hipsters finally have the cojones to stop that "I support the troops but not the war" line of BS.

I sort of agree. I think there are people that really do support the troops but not the cause . . . but that has just about joined the pantheon of lame, defensive phrases right next to "I've got black friends."

If only they had the cojones to show their faces rather than hide behind masks...

Agree. Find burning a soldier more disgusting then burning a flag. These have the little cajones to protest but do it behind a mask. They don't have any cojones.

I agree that the behavior is disgusting. However, the only behavior that has "gone too far" is thus displayed when they wreck other persons' property during these demonstrations.

Believe me, there are many more advantages as long as we continue to let these people burn flags, puppets, themselves, etc.

I agree - that's why I used the question mark with the thread title.

However, there's probably an open flame ordinance they are violating :whistling:

I would gladly front the money for a good defense lawyer in the event that one of these Socialists sues a city after burning 75% of his/her puny body.

Sad and uneducated lot that would even begin to imply that the soldiers have some part in the decision to be in the Middle East.

Hmmm... one set of 18-21 year olds go out and willing volunteer to protect the freedoms/rights that another set of 18-21 year olds openly use to criticize soldiers.

Is that just? :ermm:

The soldiers have plenty of say. First, they volunteer for the Army. Then, to have enough senior NCOs to be effective, they re-up, voluntarily. And, the ones who are "forced" to go to war, could always choose to be sent to Ft. Leavenworth and spend some quality time in the brig.

That's exactly how it's set up to work. They fight for our right to disagree. How do you not get it?

I see protestors out here at least on a weekly basis... I live about ten blocks from a recruiting office, which is on a main road through my district of the city. You kinda stop paying attention to them after a while.

It's all freedom of speech, though. I have no problem with them doing that in any public place they want, as long as they're not hurting themselves, others, or other people's property.

You would think these Commies would have just a little appreciation for the soldiers. I don't know, maybe that is asking too much... :ermm:
