A subcommittee in the Senate is holding a congressional hearing on the violence caused by Antifa and will hear from a number of witnesses whose names have first been obtained by the Daily Caller.

The Senate Subcommittee on the Constitution, which is chaired by Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, will hold the hearing Tuesday titled “The Right of the People Peaceably to Assemble: Protecting Speech by Stopping Anarchist Violence.” The hearing will reportedly detail Antifa’s role in riots and more.

So, are they having the President of ANTIFA testify? Or maybe just pick some random Emo kid?

If one believes Antifa is a myth, benign or a non factor then you are either unwilling to understand them or complicit and supportive of their stated goals.

Law Professor Testifies: Antifa Targets ‘Republicans,’ ‘Fear And Intimidation’ Worst Ever On Campuses

The amount of attention devoted to them does not match their actions, influence, or reach. They're not changing hearts and minds. As far as I know, they still haven't killed anybody. Why are we so worried about them? Why can't we just treat them like any other violent protesters?

Let's phrase the question a different way...WTF is congress going to do about ANTIFA? Probably something that infringes on everyone's rights and/or something expensive. Get after it, Ted.

Numerous assaults and injuries inflicted on others over the years. Look it up. “Killing” isn’t the qualifier for action against them IMO. And yes, they deserve the attention because they brought it on themselves with the destruction of private and public property, assaults and infringement on others 1A rights. We can just disagree.

So what do you want congress to do about it, exactly?

Congress, nothing. But I’m fine letting law enforcement take a tough stance and action against them if they’re going to continually assault others and destroy property. They’ve largely gotten away with it up until the past couple of weeks.

How do they know who is ANTIFA and who is not? You just have to address the people that are doing damage. Cops have been kicking people's asses for months now. Rioters "largely" get away with it because they have the numbers. The only way cops can really stop masses from rioting is by hurting innocents, so it's a very delicate balance. This is not a phenomenon specific to ANTIFA.
