Any chance Boomsday could be brought back someday?

I’ve always said Knoxville is missing a big opportunity by not making Labor Day a big weekend. They could dominate the whole weekend if they would do something like the following:

Friday: big concert Friday evening. If they had a better outdoor venue it would help but you could get a big name to come to tba
Saturday: fall festival at worlds fair and boomsday
Sunday: ut football game
Monday: people could use this day to travel or go to the mountains/lake

Just feel like Knoxville could bring people from all over the region doing something like that

There is a new venue out east that can accommodate a decent band.

I went to the first Boomsday on land and after a nightmare parking experience every one after that was on water. The leftists that have been running Knoxville and UT for years have managed to screw up everything that was ever good. I avoid the city like the plague. If they ever do bring Boomsday back they’ll probably rebrand into something that’s unwatchable and disgusting.

No. Unless it’s done somewhere other than Neyland as in Maddy’s supreme wisdom is now the highway and not 11/70 “Cumberland” which means it can’t be shut down like it was in the past. Other than that a quarter of a million for Garrucci’s or Pyro Shows and you’re all set.
