I'm from out of state. NC. Have tickets to tomorrow's game and cant find any info on if game might be canceled or where to look to stay informed. I'd hate to drive 3 and a half hours for it to get canceled. Anyone have information or know where I can look to to stay up to date on it. Tha is in advance. Go Vols!

Just call the ticket office in the morning at (865)656-1200 although I seriously doubt the event will be postponed or cancelled since Arkansas is probably already in Knoxville for the game.

I may be out of the loop but what has happened that makes cancellation a possibility?

My cousin lives in Sweetwater and told me there were a lot of flood warnings in east Tennessee and a lot of schools were being canceled and such. Didnt know how bad it is or was expected to be. As mentioned I live out of state so I'm out of the loop too for the most part. Just wanted to double check before I drove all the way there.

I can't think of any flood prone areas along the interstates or near campus. Just be careful and never try to drive on a closed or flooded street. Turn around if barricades are up. There might be 75 or 100 closed streets. North Cedar Bluff, Walker Springs at Kingston Pike, and Ebenezer almost certainly.

Unless Thompson Boling is flooded, I’d suspect they’d play.

Tennessee played Kentucky In football the day after the Kennedy Assassination so I don’t think some rain will stop them tomorrow.

Silly post. Apples and Oranges. No comparison with a weather event and an assassination.

UT virtually never closes and I don't remember a postponement of an indoor sport for weather related purposes any time recently. It was actually very snowy in the area leading into the Kentucky game Saturday and there was never a hint of a cancellation.

Have we had a cancellation or postponement for weather or other tragedy? Only one I can remember is Florida in 2001.......but I was born in 81' so I don't have as many memories as some on here.

A football game at LSU was postponed after a hurricane (Katrina?). It was the one where Rick Clausen was so snarky in the post game interview next to Fulmer.

Dang bro......good memory. You're right, they moved it to a Monday because of Hurricane Rita.

Ainge started and was bad. Clausen went in and lead TN to a huge comeback win. Then instead of taking the high road he was all snotty and butt hurt that Ainge was the starter instead of him. I'd say it was immaturity and a bit of an ego having an older brother that won a ton of games for TN and a younger brother that was expected to be the next great NFL QB. Rick was on the coaching staff a few years later, so he probably grew up a lot and got over himself a bit. He probably doesn't go on holiday with the Ainges though.

Ainge was terrible that game, threw an underhanded pick-6 from his own end zone, and dug us into a 21-0 deficit on the road in Death Valley. Clausen brought Tennessee back and Gerald Riggs scores the game-winning TD in OT to win the game. Hard to believe that was 15 years ago.
