We are going to get a commitment from Byron Cowart or Cece Jefferson since we pulled the scholly on Marques Ford? We were able to flip Dobbs two years ago. I know they aren't committed anywhere but I feel like we could flip or land some big name on NSD. Maybe not these two but someone that would come out of left field that we thought we had no chance at getting. Just curious as to what your guys thoughts are?

anything is possible but Dobbs wasn't a flip, he was torn with playing baseball as I recall and not nearly as heavily recruited as the aforementioned recruits

Fords scholly was probably pulled to open up a spot for a position of greater need (ie ol or RB)

We have 3 De and 3 DT in this class. No more needed

John Kelly took the scholarship that was emptied by Ford being asked to look around. Now, he may be able to get a scholarship that was vacated by Sawyers, Creamer or Wharton.

Dobbs was not heavily recruited. He was unaware of UT's aeronautics and space programs, which was the draw of ASU for him. That and closer to home likely made for an easy flip. Aren't we all glad UT has such a highly regarded academic program?

The "no" comments because we've already got what we need is stupid,)no offense(... There's a word called DEPTH.. We all should know, cause we haven't had it in those positions in a while

I think the "no" comments were reasonable. Neither guy mentioned is considering the VOLS at all.

Creamer is not leaving...he is going to be a TE who has great potential...You are thinking of Jenkins...although none of the players mentioned has asked for their release according a source close to the Athletic Department. :eek:k:

It was also not confirmed that Hendrix, Payne, Helm, and many others were ready to walk till long after it was posted on this board. It happens.

Most seem to think his scholarship was pulled because we didn't expect to land Phillips.

Show me even a snippet of where either guy has ever mentioned the Vols as potential landing spots. There is a better chance of Obama cutting the deficit than us getting either one.

I still haven't seen any official word on any of them leaving.
