Thinking of going to basic satellite and getting a firestick, anyone got suggestions or experience with this product?

I have one and a Chromecast, because Amazon can't play nice. They're both fine.

Works great for DirectTV Now

I've yet to have any issues.

I had so many issues with directtv now and all my firesticks. They gave me a refund due to the streams now working at all for over 72 hours. They said it's a known issue with firesticks and directtv now. Every other streaming service works perfectly on my sticks.

We had a lot off issues when we first got it about 3 years ago but they have worked the bugs out and it's been working great now.

Maybe I just got lucky. But we use the stick in the tv upstairs. We mostly use our Apple TV.

I wanted to like it (this was a month ago) because at the time they were the only ones with MLB network. Just didn't work for me

I dropped dish, bought 2 fire TV boxes and one "loaded" fire TV boxes off of ebay. Backed it up and then restored it to the other two.

With a subscription to Sony Vue $30 a month and a $50 antenna, I now have access to 10 times the content I did with DISH and I'm paying $140 a month less for my troubles.

The "loaded" box came with a program called Kodi. Kodi is a content aggregator where you can add repositories (content sources) and watch movies, TV shows etc.

GOT seasons are available through a number of 'repos' but right now Exodus is the king of content.

You can youtube kodi/exodus setups to see it in action.

I've read some things about Kodi, seems like Napster but I may go this route. I pay a fortune for Direct TV. Did you have to upgrade your internet?

Try it on your computer. Search installing Kodi and Exodus. Use SEO Michael's site for picture by picture instructions. Takes 5-10 minutes tops to have it running on your PC right now (or any other supported device).

Watch out if you're in Europe trying to watch soccer. The hammer came down on streaming that and it'll get you possible jail time and fines.

I upped my DSL from 10mb to 25mb but I have two kids who online game, watch netflix, youtube, amazon prime and snaptweetbook. The cost was negligible compared to the savings.

If you have drop box, I can send you the restoration file with all the included bells and whistles though I don't know if it will work on the Fire Stick, I have the Fire box. In theory, I suppose it shouldn't matter.

Same here..............I was telling the GF the other day that it feels like I have a ton more access to channels that I actually want and at a fraction of the price every month. Not to mention, I can watch anything anywhere with my Vue on mobile/tablets

Zen is my go to now over Exodus. It seems to have a ton more sources and I like the setup better.

I'll have to look into it, though exodus has been perfectly reliable for everything but the brand new in theaters flicks. What does zen do better?

Sources.......more of the older stuff is available with good links while still having all the new stuff like Exodus. I always had issues with Exodus finding good links for movies from like the 90's and stuff. I also just like the UI with it better too.

I've been thinking about a real debrid subscription, I've read really good things. At about $17 for six months, what could go wrong.

Any experience?

It's not the end all be all, but I keep my RD account active most of the time. I end up using their feeds most of the time. It's not exactly expensive. Try it for a month or two.

Still have stuff it can't find on occasion.
