I'm looking at a 2011 Ford F-150 Supercrew with the 3.5 v6. It has 82,000 miles. Are y'all pleased with your trucks or just stay away?

I've had a 2012 Lariat supercrew 4x4 about 15 months. I'm pretty happy.

Only thing I've had replaced was a tail lamp.

I'm currently driving a 2013 F-250 with the 6.7L, couldn't be happier. The V-6 would be my only concern depending on what you plan on doing with it.

I'm driving an 01 F150 King Ranch with a V8. Bought it at 70k, about to hit 260k and still rolling strong. My next truck whenever that day comes will be another F150.

I've owned two Sport Track's. An 05 and 07. 07 ride is much better......until an idiot rear ended the wife on I40.....grrrr
Loved the truck. Of course Ford stopped making them in 10. :(

I've owned nothing but Ford truck since forever. I currently own two now, an old one and an older one.

I assume you're talking about the Eco boost v6. If so, it has impressive performance. It will compete with most v8s when you're talking about towing and general power and it has great fuel mileage. The downside? It is a turbo so engine life from what I hear is roughly 100K. I personally wouldn't go the Ecoboost route but I see the attraction.

I have a 2014 (around 30k miles) and love it. Smooth ride, so much room and when you need some power it's there.

Hubby has a 2001 F150 4.2 v6, and a 2010 F150 4.6 v8 FWD. No trouble out of either one.

2009 f250 390,000 miles V10
1997 f250 430,000 miles 7.3 Diesel.

Take care of them and these trucks run forever.

So you're saying the engines will be done after 100k miles? -and then I need to buy a new one

That's what I've heard. I'm sure you could squeeze a few more and I'm sure it's dependent on how the miles were put on and if regularly serviced. Mechanics I've talked to say it's harder on an engine when you're trying to squeeze every ounce of horsepower out of it.

I would do some more research if I were considering purchasing truck with the ecoboost. I'm sure you can find some reviews on the web.

Bought a 2014 F150 4x4 with the 3.7. I've put on 15,000 of the 29,000 miles. Love the truck!

1981 f100 stepside 351 sold @ 195,000 miles no probs
1997 f250HD 351 sold @ 224,000 miles no probs
Current truck 1997 f250HD 7.3 Diesel 123,000 miles, probably the last truck I'll own.

If you want a truck, Ford is the boss.

It'll depend on what you plan to use it for. If you'll be doing a lot of towing/hauling I'd stay away from the V-6. If it's just going to be your grocery getter it should be fine.

The Ecoboost v6 is an awesome towing machine though. It will out perform the V8. I get what you are saying though. I've got a buddy with one and pulling a heavy camper it is much more responsive than my 5.4l V8.

But that 5.4 will be towing that camper without issue years longer than the ecoboost.

2006 F150 Lariat CrewCab, 90k miles, 5.4L. It's the fifth Ford truck I've owned, but it won't be the last...

I drove a Five Hundred, step-daughter-in-law drives a Fusion, step-daughter drove a Focus, and daughter-in-law drives a Fiesta.

But I traded my Five Hundred for a Fusion and step-daughter traded her Focus for an Explorer. We all still drive Fords though. It was cool when we had all four sedans between the four of us, lol.
