I have asked this question before. I had my 4th stroke a couple weeks ago. The ER doctor came in and said he had "good news and bad news". The stroke left a spot on my brain, but no major damage detected. Then he said from my last tests, the white matter disease has become larger. Just as I started to ask what this means, he had an emergency and left. I have called and left messages for him, but no answer yet. I googled and can not find anything solid on the subject. I would rather argue with you guys and gals about bringing CPF back, but this is worrying me. Sorry for the long post.

Hate to hear that. Have you not followed up with someone since your ER visit?

My regular doctor did not have anything new to say about it. He said to follow up with the neurologist.

ER Dr sounds either incompetent or uncaring -- how did you even get discharged from the ER with no explanation ?

No idea, but prayers for you. That sounds scary, even if it turns out to be less serious than I'm sure your anxiety indicates.

Thank you for the link. It was never explained fully, but I was told it is a gateway to early onset dementia.
