Any Pink Floyd or David Gilmour Fans Here?

The auction just started.....the first guitar went for $400,000 and the next went for a million. $500,000 won't touch the black strat.

Wow. Great for the charity. I think he gets to take a tax write off for the value without taking a hit with a capital gain... but he might be in the UK's jurisdiction and they obviously have a different tax code.

Yes, I was a fan of Floyd and Gilmore's music. No, I don't give one whit what he'll get auctioning his guitars.

I wonder how much for the P-Bass? I guess values are highly gauged by which instruments were used on which recordings. The Wish You Were Here acoustic will be high dollar.

Pink Floyd has such a weird story. They have some low key hits with Syd Barrett, he goes crazy, and then Mason is just like "I know a guy from school that could maybe help fill in for Barrett." Mason just happens to know one of the best combo guitarists/vocalists in rock history?...and Waters starts writing and it turns out he's a fkn genius.
