Well, after our company was bought out I've been asked to move to San Diego. I was born in Mississippi and raised in Tennessee so I'm a southern boy but I'm also open to change.

Anybody have some pros and cons with living in San Diego? I heard they have good bass fishing over there in their lakes, what about trout up in the mountains?

I don't even know where to begin looking at apartments or houses to rent because I'm also expecting a baby any second now and want to live in a safe place.

We are going to visit there sometime in December with people that already live there but I'd like some more opinions!

I lived there for 13 years and now live in LA. I'll give you my email and cell if you need it to give you everything you need to know. Bottom line is that it is the best city in the US

Good friends live there, visited many times. Beautiful city, area, weather all year. We would be there if it wasn't so damned EXPENSIVE !!!!!

Lived there for a few years. The bass fishing is tricky but lakes such as Murray and Dixon have several 15+ lbers in them. The world record that was foulhooked lived in Murray. Weighed 25 even. Find a place north of Chula Vista. The farther east (ElCajon, LA Mesa, Lemon Grove) the more affordable. Tons of great things to do.

Been there twice. Loved the city. Like you I would have moved there years ago if it wasn't so expensive.

San Diego (city and county) is a great place to live. As others have noted, it is expensive. Good luck to you and welcome to SoCal.
