Just introduced my roommate to some Thrice, and I was wondering if anybody here liked them.

I feel like they're fairly under-appreciated. Incredibly talented bunch with what I feel is a pretty good grasp on multiple sounds.

I never really got into them, but I did like Paper Tigers. Since you're more familiar with them, how would you compare that song to the others in terms of badassness? Any suggestions?

I like "Stare At The Sun" which is on the SSX3 soundtrack, but I haven't really listened to any of their other music.

I think you'd probably really like their song "The Arsonist". It's from part I (Fire) of their album The Alchemy Index, which is mostly that harder sound.

A lot of their songs are badass, but they're not necessarily that hard sounding. Vheissu is my favorite Thrice album. I'd listen to that.

Mentioned his name in another thread the other day but their lead singer, Dustin Kensrue, has gone on to do some pretty good solo stuff also.

Their first album was really, really bad, but they've been pretty decent since. Artist in the Ambulance is my favorite album but Deadbolt is my favorite song of theirs.
