From what I can tell so far, he wants a big, run-blocking o-line, a stable of RBs and an effective, athletic pass-catching tight end. Until he gets the right pieces we will play to whatever strengths we have offensively.

His likes: Stud TEs, Very thin QBs and long walks on the beach

Dislikes: Defensive Tackles

Offensively, the question is what type of players Chaney likes. QB's, good mechanics, accuracy over armstrength. RB's, by the Neal pickup I'd say 1-cut then hit-the-hole types. Other offensive positions, more of what we have IMO. Defensively, no 3-4 means more D-linemen like we're accustomed to. Probably less of the undersized secondary players (unless they're special) that you'd see in a Tampa 2. LB's, whoever CLT likes...not real sure. This is just my opinion of course.

Tight-ends I think. Dooley is not linked with an offense as much as he is tied to Saban. If he is half of what Saban is, we are A Ok.

How would anyone know, since his only comments outside of the booster's breakfast were on NSD.

Every coach likes speed. I just hope he is infatuated with the big fellas in the trenches. When we made our national tile run the offensive and defensive lines made the difference.

maybe he doesn't know himself? Maybe he will just try and recruit those stellar La. Tech players he had the files on, obviously is not on the lineman from Memphis that X likes and maybe his brillant evaluation says McClain can't play since he could give a crap whether a kid who has been committed 3 years is worth it. 17-20 says it all.

If he is half of what Saban is, then we will have a crappy ass coach. I don't want half of anybody

Interestingly rude of you there good buddy. Half of Saban's National Titles would be one, wouldn't it. Oh, that's right, only one gets you fired at UT. My fault.

If he is like Saban, he wants very physical players. He won't care about speed as much, because that can be developed.
