Anybody watching the South Carolina game?

Same thing. Even though he's a loud-mouth, I'd rather have a smart-@$$ coach than a pleasant one who cheats.

O'Leary is a srew-up.  He lied about his background and got fired after being named the ND head coach.  I really hope that is not average.  As for his players, they are playing hard, but in the last series, I have seen blown coverage, bad formations etc.  Whatever you want to call it, I wouldn't call that a flawless preformace.  The defense has most certainly screwed up in this game.

Well DUH! They've lost 15 in a row for a reason, but you can't blame them for TRYING.

I'm glad that YOU'VE never streched the truth... you're a better person than most.

Granted a resume is FAR too important to lie on, he had done it to get the job at Tech and then never fixed it. However, that doesn't make him a bad football coach.

This issue is not about me, so wheather I lied or will lie is irrelevent (which statistically speaking I will). I really don't believe I am better than most, I will just say I am average. :D But I can honestly say I have never lied on a resume. (He didn't streatch the truth, he lied). It doesn't make him a bad coach, but since he didn't fix the part he lied on, wouldn't you say he screwed up? Also, I didn't blame them (the kids) for trying, I think that shows a special kind of character, but again, they are screwing up. 15 games.... :good:

I'll tell you one thing: Visor-Boy better figure out a way to run the ball. If he can't gain yards against UCF, wait until he meets the SEC.

You're just using "screw up" in a way that would make us ALL screw ups. I think calling a football team that is trying to the best of their abilities "screw ups" is below the belt. Normally when you say "screw up" it brings far worse connotation with it than what you are saying you want to apply to it.

Oh yeah, and "streching the truth" is just a nicer way to say lied. A lie is a lie.

But O'Leary still won the ACC in '98 at Tech... yes that's right, they were CO-champs with the FSU team we beat for the first BCS NC. I'm sure somehow that still makes him a "screw up."

Are you reading my posts? Just checking. Because 2 points I have made don't seem to be registering. He lied on a resume, which he used multiple times. That is why he is a screw up, and probably why he is at UCF and not say a Big Ten, Big 12 school etc. (Before you hit that add reply, I am not saying that UCF is a school of screw ups, just a little low on the pecking order). My comment was directed at his actions off the field, not on the field. I didn't say all UCF players were screw-ups, I just said he was not the only one. And I am sorry if have offended any potential or present UCF fan. I applaud their dilligence in losing the last 15, soon to be 16 games, as well as their tenacidy in hopes of changing that stat.

We are going in circles here. I don't think you are going to change my opinion, and I am unlikely going to change yours. You can think he is a great coach, fine by me. I don't . That being said, I hope this discussion is over.

The reason I say that is he isn't deep as he was at Fla,but I do agree if he can he will drop whatever he can.

I missed that... watching the Braves too. If they DID say that, they need to check the seniority list.

Not sure? But i think they was interviewing Mrs. Spurrier and called her the first lady of the sec. They might wanna run that by the Dean of Southeastern Coaches wife Vicky?

Yeah, that's what they said. I'll tell you what, watching them go on and on about Spurrier this and Spurrier that is enough to make anyone sick. I hope that we kick the ever loving crap out of USC this year.....NO MERCY! :aggressive:

...he's at least an average college coach.

Never said the man's great, just letting you know. ;)

We could continue this discussion about screw-ups not screw ups all night... bygones be bygones.

UCF has played their hearts out tonight.

UNDER 40 TOTAL YARDS RUSHING? UCF may be the only DI-A team that this effort would have beaten... very unimpressive.

Not saying that South Carolina will be a world-beater this year, but it could have something to do with UCF being much better than their record of a year ago would indicate.
