My family and I got tickets to the big game next weekend and now it’s everyone’s favorite past time: finding decent lodging.

Has anyone been to Columbus who could recommend a fairly affordable hotel that’s close enough to the stadium and won’t cost me a fortune in an uber ride? I found one off airport drive and google maps says it’s about 12 minutes to the stadium. But I’m just curious if that’s a decent area of town?

I’ve been to Columbus but never the horseshoe. I’m sure their fans are gonna treat us like crao as the rhetoric has begun.

The “hillbilly reference” has been making its rounds along with the comparison to Vandy since we haven’t won the SEC since 1998.

It’s just another reason to despise Ohio State. I will be there with orange, yelling and standing regardless who is around me.

Lodging in Columbus will be hard to come by. If you’re going to get a rental car, maybe book a room in Dayton and drive the 45 minutes. I live in Dayton and plenty of decent hotels here. Just, whatever you do, don’t stay in Springfield unless you like violent crime

Thanks for the tip! I found one off of Keim Circle and the front desk lady said the stadium is about 20 minutes. That area of town decent? I plan on getting in early afternoon Saturday, dropping off my stuff and then coming back after the game. So really just needing a place to sleep and take a hot shower post game.
