Anyone change their mind and is now going to Orlando?

It's a little odd to me that someone would base their travel off getting to see a true freshman QB play the Iowa defense in person. I really hope it all works out, but I have a feeling it's going to be a tractor pull.
Think if I were on the fence for last minute trip, Nico would be a reason to make the trip to see him first start of what is hopefully a legendary career in orange.

Have had a couple of people call about looking for tickets now with the Nico starting news.
im debating.
Anybody think they will go now that hadn’t planned to go before?

We were going regardless. I will admit, with Nico starting, it is a little more interesting/exciting. We're staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott downtown. Anyone else?

I have a feeling that Nico will do whatever he wants and Josh will name the score. Iowa hasn’t t seen anything like Tennessee and hasn’t seen a QB remotely close to Nico all year.

I always planned to go regardless of who is starting at any position.

That said I don't want to travel that far to see a blow out loss. That is the only thing that would sway me not to attend.

Right now I am concerned that we may lose (hope not) but looks like this will basically be the Tennessee 2024 team verses the Iowa 2023 team.

That is what I am thinking as well. And if that is what happens, I'm glad I will have limited access to this board - because the meltdown will be really bad.

I am not so sure about that. Let's just hope Nico has a good supporting cast around him. The team we are putting on the field is a giant question mark.
Also, are any of the transfer portal players going to play?

I really, really want you to be right and speed and tempo cause them problems. If Nico can get the ball out and keep the offense on the field, we'll win.

We have a freshman QB, both starting RB's are out, and lost our entire secondary, against a good defense. We've got them right where we want them 👀🤣

It will be interesting to see where Nico is at and who we are able to put on the field, especially against the nation's #1 defense.

Anyone who attends thinking that Nico will look like Hendon did throughout most of 2022 are likely going to be disappointed. I hope I am wrong but all of these expectations are too much to expect.
I think you're right, anyone thinking this is going to be the 2nd coming of Peyton Manning is probably in for a big surprise. Much more added pressure put on the young man and I hope he does perform well but my expectations are that he performs well & we beat Iowa. I'm more concerned about our Oline keeping Nico standing up & giving him the time to execute. That said I also hope we have receivers that can catch the ball. I certainly wouldn't want Iowa's big guys planting Nico in the turf and getting him hurt. I've said it before, don't want to see us go 3 run plays into the teeth of the line unless we can show we can open up the holes consistently. I question whether we can do that. Hope I'm wrong. Best of Luck to Nico & the VOLS, and just do it! GO VOLS!!!!

I'm just hoping to see flashes of what's to come when he gets more familiar with the system and more comfortable in games as the starter. Show me some of that and it's something to build on. I'm sure Heupel will do his best to put him in situations that suit his play and experience. This is a good defense that will help him grow up in a hurry.
