There was a time in a few games that a fake would have been a good call, maybe even better than some of the failed 4th down calls he tried. Bama from near midfield comes to mind.

I'm surprised it wasn't used. Also surprised he didn't pull the ball down and run it at least once.
His kicking style sets up for a fake. I remember one game the other team had all gone back the other way and the punter could've got 10+ yards easy if he had ran it

If the threat forced special teams coaches to rush enough men to contain and pressure Ross, while assigning coverage on all eligible receivers, that was probably enough to prevent opposing teams from setting up their best return plays.

Of course, it'd be a dead giveaway that we were rolling out the fake punt if we ever didn't go for it on 4th-and-15 from inside the 50.
