Anyone else get a text message about Visa??

????

I did and even though I have a Visa card, they don't have my cell number.

So I called my bank and the lady checked my account and everything seemed all right, she said they usually try to pass a small amount first to see if they have everything right.

So then I allerted the local police dept. Guess what, the dispatcher had gotten the same msg with the same number to call.

We didn't have the same cell phone service provider.

He said he got an answering machine that said the box was full.

Anyway they both agreed, as far as scams go, this was small potatoes compared to 'Cap and Tax.'

phishing scam similar to the email I sometimes receive from "Paypal" regarding "suspicious activity with my paypal account has resulted in my account being limited."

I was just on my citibank acct the other day and it had a "fraud allert" about that. It said not to respond to text from them because it wasnt legit.
