Me and the gf are going over to a buddies tommorow to watch it. Should be pretty cool and fun to watch. For those that have no clue what I'm talking about, it's where a bunch of Nascar and NHRA guys race late models on the dirt track at Eldora. It's a PPV event costing $25 and the proceeds go to the VJC.

Drivers in tommorow's races include Tony Stewart,Jeff Gordon,Ryan Newman,Matt Kenseth,Mark Martin,Denny Hamlin,Kyle Busch,Kenny Wallace,Mike Wallace,Bobby Labonte,JJ Yeley,Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and several more. Should be cool to see some of these guys return to thier roots and watch others that have almost no dirt track racing under thier belts.

I would love to... I think the better question is, is anybody going to watch the snoozefest that is Pocono this weekend?

i would be more interested if they were racing Silver Crown or WoO cars. obviously though, those cars would be a little more dangerous IMO.

i probably won't be watching.

Yeah I doubt thier teams or sponsors want them running sprints with guys that have never ran them before...lol...If they did run them my money would be on either Stewart,Newman,Gordon or Kahne

Carl Edwards won the NEXTEL Prelude to the Dream presented by Old Spice dirt late model race June 6 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Edwards won the 30-lap race on the half-mile oval by .305 of a second over Kyle Busch. Jeff Gordon finished third. Edwards led all but two laps en route to victory, but had to contend with Gordon and Busch throughout much of the event. Gordon, who made his first appearance at Eldora since 1991, led lap 11 and challenged Edwards throughout most of the event. There were three cautions during the event, although the laps conducted under caution did not count. The only major accident occurred on lap 17 when Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte and Kasey Kahne crashed in turn two. Labonte and Stewart, who finished 21st and 22nd, respectively, were done for the night. Kahne was able to continue and finished sixth. The race was broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View with the proceeds from the groundbreaking telecast going to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the Tony Stewart Foundation.

Newman was pretty quick in his heat race, but he drifted right into Elliott coming to the checkered flag causing Elliott to flip. Newman's car was damaged pretty bad, but he got it fixed and back out there for the feature race.

That explains it....thxs.....I was pretty happy with Jeff's run since it has been 7 years since he drove on dirt....JMP's finish was impressive also.
