I think he has the ability to be a good coach, but the reason I asked is because a few years ago in the SEC Tourney he got into a bit of a jawing match with Jujuan, and it just sort of left a bad taste in my mouth for the guy. Thoughts anyone???

I like Pelphrey. I think if he coached somewhere other than Arkansas, he'd get more recognition as a good coach.

I have disdain for bad coaches. Thus, Pelphrey is one of my least favorite people on the planet.

Where is this school that gives one recognition as a good coach for failing miserably located? Wade Houston and Buzz Peterson would like to send resumes.

Pelphry is an idiot but JS started running off at the mouth. I was sitting right where it happened.

I would be a big fan of that Clown coaching any of our rivals in the SEC.

We should hope that he wins just enough to stay there because Arkansas is a sleeping giant as far as I'm concerned. IMO, they have really good talent. If Pearl was coaching them they would be running away with the West and would be more loaded than they are.

If they got the right coach in there that could recruit and sell that program it would bust open much like ours has and they have a more recent basketball past than we do.

That's an interesting statement.

I love Pel at Arky, like someone said earlier, I hope he coaches at KY or UF before he retires.

When I said a more recent basketball past than we do, I meant during the 90's when Nolan Richardson was there when they won a NC and made a few Final Fours, etc.

I know. I was just busting your chops. :hi:

One of my favorite JS moments. Popping the 3 in front of Pelphrey, then enjoying the moment with him as he trotted down the court.....
