Or maybe the Juco kids that Sonny Dykes signed that show up as JR's and SR's as starters on the Tech roster. Dooley could not coach up our 4 star kids after 3 years of coaching. WTH do you think he did with the 2 star kids at Tech their freshman year?

lol! No one is saying that. It is true that coaching changes are a roll of the dice and that nothing is guaranteed. Bammer went through four coaches between Stallings and Saban (if you count Price), OU was down for 10+ years before Stoops got there, Michigan has yet to recover from losing Lloyd Carr, LSU wasn't worth anything from about 1987 to the time Saban got there.

So there is no guarantee, none whatever, that a new coach will turn things around. Thus if you replace one, make sure he really truly needs to go, and be careful what you replace him with.

Dooley is probably just about there....Fulmer? Wish we'd given him another year.

But the bottom line is....if you make the change do so carefully and after due deliberation. Hamilton was a panty-wetting girl who ran for cover the minute a bunch of fans starting whining. He gave Fulmer a raise and extension in March 2008, he should have had the nads to stand behind him at least to the end of the season.

It just means what it means here. Dooley can evaluate talent, he can recruit talent, but once he gets them here, he can't do squat with them. You watch, if we got someone in here who knew what they were doing next year, with this talent, we'd be in the top 25 too!
