Anyone else tired of this coaching search

No. Imagine being a Pig fan in Arkansas. They've had since April to talk to candidates. They still haven't hired a coach. We aren't behind at all. Graveyard of football up north hired a coach, that is it.

I love the offseason while we search for new coaches and recruits! It's enthralling!

This is better than the mud-slinging political ads.

Watching someone post anything about a "source who is well connected and is usually spot-on with his information" and watching the masses flock to it is hilarious. There are only a few simple rules:

1) A rumor must include that Gruden is coming to UT.
2) Sources aren't that important as long as Gruden is coming to UT
3) If you do have sources about Gruden coming to UT, you can hide behind the "protection of privacy/ May lose job" clause and that's perfectly OK.
4) If rumor states Gruden isn't coming to UT then you can go F&CK YOURSELF!

It's pretty easy once you know the rules.

Does ANYBODY have a clue as to what is really going on in this search?

Actually more entertaining than the season.

Agree that it has been more entertaining, but any worry that Hart screws it up?

I think I'm tired of the search because it has been a hard few years and I'm ready to have a good coach and go forward.

The OG's have been solid since this all started so I'd say that Gruden is a very, very real possibility. The fact the everything is so quiet on the AD front makes it even seem more plausible since there seems to be little activity for an actual search. They've got their man whoever it is and most signs point to Jon.

It's like being 6 and waiting on Christmas. The wait is the hardest part. If we hit a home run then all the stress will be forgotten.

Yeah, but you see them publicly swinging for top coaches.

I hope you are right. If that's true, what is the hold up on the announcement?

It sucks. i have a gut feeling were gonna settle for another Dooley.

I just can't imagine that after what has happened at the University. Luckily the hire isn't something to be voted on by the American public so it has the potential to be good..and it isn't Hambone hiring which is a plus.

If we didn't have the past experience of botching a HC-FOOTBALL hire, we might not be as uptight about the upcoming hire. Until Dave Hart actually makes a homerun hire for us, the jury is still out on his ability to make a homerun hire.....regardless of how experienced he says he is in this area. Results will speak volumes!

Getting more and more out of hand.

"Hart doing nothing cause he's got his guy."

"Hart doing nothing cause he is out of his depth and will wait until the only name left is Kirby Smart."

"Gruden coming."

"Soon"

"Boom"

"Gruden not coming, not interested, going to NFL, staying at ESPN."

Bottom line, IMHO, nothing is final and won't be until Hart is ready for it to be. Then we'll know if Hart is just biding his time to retirement or if he is really on board to bring TN back to national prominence.
