If so, you just seen a Utah State player get ejected for what officials now call "targeting".

I guess he should have let the kid catch the ball for a touchdown.

I thought the flag was questionable but to throw the kid out was an appalling call. Horrible.

7-0 Utah ST

Utah ST Safety just got ejected for "targeting" the receiver, some of these new protection rules are really ****ing stupid.

Came here to post this. I have never seen that call before.

I can maybe see the penalty, MAYBE. But ejecting the guy?!

Rod Gilmore ( Tool of all tools) says that he probably got ejected because Apo ( the player that took the hit ) had a mild concussion last week and the player laying the hit was a former BYU player.

Not that kids fault he had a concussion last week, if it's iffy, keep him out of the game.

Unreal.

I mean sure throw a flag on him, but to eject him? Then that WR come back in 2 plays later.

I agree. But launching oneself is a penalty. I didn't know it was an ejectable penalty. Its not like he was head hunting.

It wasn't even a hard hit, Apo sold it for all it was worth, he was out there after sitting out one play.

I thought the penalty was iffy...could go either way, kicking him out for it is unbelievable.

I bet if the game were at Utah State that wouldn't have happened.

Yea I disagree with all aspects of it.

First, that penalty shouldn't exist, second, that penalty was not the right call for that play, I mean, shoulder to the high chest?

How is that more dangerous than keep your feet on the ground and flipping the guy upside down on his head?

True. I didn't do a very good job communicating what I meant. I think leaving your feet and leading with your head is one thing, but he didn't do that. I think to throw a flag there is a bad call, but to throw him out is absolute horse ****. I basically agree with you, just didn't do a good job of saying that.

Yea I knew what you meant, I was just elaborating on my distaste for the the game being turned into two hand touch LOL

I can't stand that guy. There's a reason he's put on the Friday night crew.
