I have had a bout with flu I am just snapping out of. Ironically it hit me hard during the second half of the Georgia game on Saturday.

While laying around sick, I stumbled into a fascinating article about Coach Phil Dickens who was one of Neyland's star tailbacks and got caught in a major recruiting scandal while head coach at Indiana. The stories of his feud with Woody Hays is quite interesting. Dickens succeeded Bowden Wyatt as head coach at Wyoming after Bowden became head coach at Tennessee.

Thanks. Will read. I lived next door to Phil's father for about 6 months in 1947 when I was in the second grade. I vaguely remember the man but Dad made sure I knew he was Phil's father.
