I got a Sharp LC-60LE650U and it is Wifi enabled. Unfortunately I can't get it to connect to my wireless router. For one it won't even detect it, which is strange since my Xbox One and PS4 are both underneath it and connect fine.

My wireless router is in the next room and is maybe 15 feet away. I can't find a lot on the internet, but one review I read stated they had the same issue and was told the TV had to be within 15 feet of the router.

Any suggestions. I have about 10 devices that can connect to my wireless and all connect with no issues.

I have a vizio that has wifi. My router is on another level of the house, and on the opposite side. It connects fine. It seems strange that yours would need to be so close to the router.

I have A Sharp 60" LCD and it was easy. Not sure yours is the same but I just chose menu, initial setup, internet setup, network setup, wireless setup, initialize. It saw it. I live in the boonies so my network is not password protected.

you might need to update the TV. so check to see what software version it is currently using & what is the most up to date software available. If you need to update, download the new software version on a laptop and save it to a flash drive. then plug the flash drive into the tv.

Good idea. I'll try that first.

I helped my brother set his Sharp up and I believe this is what I did. It took a little while to get it to find the router but once it did it was fine.

I got it to work last night. For some reason, I could not manually set it up by typing in the SSID/password (my network isn't broadcast), nor would it work after I temporarily broadcast it, even when it would find it.

I finally tried to set it up using the WPS (push button) method and it worked.
