This is from Phil Steele's SEC preview which is the first time I seen this. Its on page 157 under notable injuries " JC transfer DE Walter Fisher suffered a shoulder injury in the spring that required surgery and is now QUESTIONABLE for the 2006 season" If this is true I think it is a hit to the D. This guy is a stud and I think he will be a big impact player this fall. Tell me if its a big deal to you or if you have seen anything about this?

I remember hearing about it, but I haven't heard an update in awhile.

I think the last I heard was when he had the surgery and I think that was April or May.

I just got all the Phil Steele mag. yesterday (my sis gets them for free) and I couldn't believe that he picked us to win the East! and more surprising was that Arkansas is 2nd in the West!

If it's true, Id say its a huge hit for the D-Line...Rotation wise. We are gonna need all these guys healthy on the depth chart to put some pressure on these QB's. I believe we have to stay healthy on both sides of the ball this season, If not...well, it will be devastating.

I havent heard anything about this, seems like it would be out if it happened in the spring.

GO VOLS!!

It definitely is not a rumor. He got hurt and had surgery.

It's true he had a shoulder problem before he hit campus and he dislocated it during spring practice, popped it back in and played with it before the trainers shut him down. He had to get shoulder surgery and he isn't expected to be back till at least November when he'll probably play since he doesn't have a redshirt to use. That's part of the reason why we need Gerald Williams on campus so bad.

i heard he would be back in sept/october and he would have 2 years left if he didnt play because of a medical redshirt or something along those lines.

yes he had shoulder surgery. Supposedly he is the real deal and played partially with his bad shoulder before telling coaches of his injury. Very tough player.
