Former Tech star Jerilynn Harper Carroll into Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame

I just googled Jerilynn Harper who played one year under Pat then transferred to Tennessee Tech and became a major star. She was drop dead gorgeous and one heck of a basketball player.

In the Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame. Maybe the incoming coach can find some more basketball beauties. Vols have had a few.

Most recent to me was Dunbar and as I think Ace Clement, Michelle Marchiniac, sp. Jaimie Nard, Tabor Spani, Kamiko Williams, Alyssia Brewer, Cait McMahan to name a few! Candace Parker!!!

She was playing at Jefferson County, TN High School while I was at Carson-Newman. She was an outstanding offensive player, but at that time, Tennessee state HS basketball was still playing half court, so she never had to play defense. That hurt her when she went to UT. Transferred out for a smaller school and environment. She may have been the first one-way player Pat Summitt ever recruited, not sure.
