I know, I know, it's women's basketball. But, there isn't much else on Sunday.

It has been a tough year for all officials. I have never seen a call made like what happened at the end of the half. UK player drove the lane and collided with a LV. She passes to a teammate who scores before the buzzer. A late whistle is blown and a block is called by the LV, which preceded the pass. They count the basket, and give the UK player a one and one.

If the block was a foul, then nothing afterwards should have counted. Officiating is just getting worse. I am not even upset at the block/charge discrepancy, but the ultimate decision is one that I have never seen.

Agree it was bs. The vols either have scissor hands or they are being mauled on every on every play.

The sorriest excuse for officials I'v seen all year. Holly needs to get in their face like Pat did. They would not make all these B?S calls against Pat.

I saw it. Unbelievable!!!! There's no way you can have both of those on one play. I want someone to explain to me how ANY women's basketball officials still have a job. They make the men's officials look good & I think we all know how hard that is to do!

SEC officiating is terrible. So inconsistent. Players (men and women) do not know what to expect from game to game. They have to guess how each game will be officiated.

Can someone pls explain to me how at the end of the 1st half we are charged with blocking (OK on that call), and their player still gets a tip in 2 pts? The play was whistled dead at the foul with 0.1 seconds (or whatever)!!! No tip in 2 pts!! Granted, its KY, its their court, we're TN and we always get the bad whistle's. Holly should have been up in somebody's grill. At least that would have charged the team up. They were flat. Looked identical to the boys at UGA. But getting screwed is getting screwed. You're right basketball officials rank right up there with replacement NFL officials. I'm still pissed. Still too many turnovers.

I saw the actual charge and then it was called a block and she passed off to a k player who made a goal and they called it as you said. The bigest problem was that there should have been a ton of fouls called for hacking arm of the LVs. Seems everytime they flash over to the K side, the ref is pulling a brown nose job. Anyway I believe we will win the SEC championship.

Go LVs!!!

that because the game was being played in kensucky. they know nothing about the true game of basketball ,but they do pay the refs a little something extra before the game starts

The officials should be given a drug screen and B/A test before each game.

I watched the game today and I agree that the officiating was horrid. I am still baffled by that call before halftime. I can understand missing the charge/block call but to then allow the basket to count AND give free thows to UK has to be one of the most egregious calls I have witnessed all year.

I agree with all the above. BS calls. And the non calls on UK under the UT basket was really bad. But what really hurts is all the injuries.

They already did last Thursday against A&M. Ky was playing for 2nd place. You probably meant the tournament, but we won the "real" one.

I'm sure something else happened.

Maybe you'll believe Charlie Creme of ESPN:

That ruling at the end of the half in TN-UK made absolutely no sense. You can't count a basket, but call a foul on the pass that preceded it

Charlie Creme ‏@CharlieCreme
I am begging someone from the SEC office to give us all a legitimate explanation tonight or tomorrow.

There's more where that came from including a couple he exchanged with Jerry Palm.

I could not even watch the second half of that game because I was so mad at the officials. The crappy game calling in KY needs to stop, for both men and women.
