I know, I know, it's women's basketball. But, there isn't much else on Sunday.
It has been a tough year for all officials. I have never seen a call made like what happened at the end of the half. UK player drove the lane and collided with a LV. She passes to a teammate who scores before the buzzer. A late whistle is blown and a block is called by the LV, which preceded the pass. They count the basket, and give the UK player a one and one.
If the block was a foul, then nothing afterwards should have counted. Officiating is just getting worse. I am not even upset at the block/charge discrepancy, but the ultimate decision is one that I have never seen.
