I don't get that...Tia Faleru was the only unanimous selection? Yet Tiffany Mitchell is POY?

Maybe I missed something, but I've seen her play a few times, and I didn't think she was anything impressive.

Faleru was the only person in the SEC to average a double double, so I don't mind her being on the 1st team. IIRC, she was last year too.

Epps & Walker over Izzy/Vivians/Welch is ridiculous!

Two different ballots...one is for All-SEC and one for POY. I agree though, if Mitchell was POY, it's surprising she wasn't unanimous. Maybe someone left her off by accident.

Beats the heck out of me. Don't agree with a few choices. Did they just use a dart board for the list? :dunno:

GO LADY VOLS!

Dawn Staley bears a striking resemblance to the alien hunter in the ''Predator" movies.

That's what I was questioning. If all of the AP writers agreed that Tia was one of the 5 best players in the league, but not all of them agreed that Mitchell was, then it would seem that Tia would be the AP SECPOY.

I think Izzy would have been 1st team if not for her injury. I would have put Welch above Wilson in the voting.Alaina Coates should have gotten the nod for 2nd team.

Don't get the Wilson love...she will be outstanding I'm sure but didn't deserve first team this year.

Then you are very difficult to impress. She wasn't a starter, only played 20 minutes a game on the deepest front line in the country, and still would have led the Lady Vols in scoring with her average....

I didn't say a LV should have taken her place. And I would have put her on the 2nd team...but IMO she doesn't deserve 1st team this year.

You're certainly entitled to that opinion. I think for the voters it comes down to whether you penalize a player for putting up lesser numbers on a better team.

IMO it's a no brainer Mitchell and Wilson were the two best players in the league.

Wilson is good and will end up being outstanding, but she was not one of the top two players in the league this year. A top two player takes over a game at certain times and Wilson rarely did that. Coates was a better player than Wilson this year in my opinion.
