Good news continues to follow our former Vol quarterbacks - top rated qbs across America include the following:

#4 Paxton Lynch - Memphis
#6 Baker Mayfield - Oklahoma
# 14 Coker - Alabama
# 23 Nate Peterman - Pittsburg

Perhaps those reports coming from practice a couple of springs ago that Peterman and Ferguson were more accurate and outperforming Josh Dobbs were accurate. I am excited and happy that Dobbs is leading our team, but I think Ferguson and Peterman were unfairly criticized because everyone wanted Dobbs at the helm. Turns out all 3 of these guys were good quarterbacks and glad to see Nate and Riley doing so well.

I thought folks wanted Dobbs at the helm because he was the only one people thought would keep the ball occasionally, to keep defenses honest in the read option.

I thought Peterman showed signs of a strong and fairly accurate arm here. But our line would've given Tom Brady trouble looking good.

Agree - I thought Worley got absolutely killed.

I'm sure Dobbs would be above Peterman if he played cupcakes every week. ACC is a joke.

Peterman's Pittsburghers are getting their asses handed to them by UNC right now. The same UNC that lost to SC.

Nate doesn't look world-beating, but he doesn't look bad tonight. Glad he found a pond of the right size for himself.

If you've been watching the game tonight you should feel comfortable that we have the right guy taking snaps for the Vols. Peterman is just like I remember him here. Those balls he throws are picks against SEC speed. They just take too long to reach the receiver.

Agreed. 100% agreed. Again, glad he found a pond of the right size for him.

Pitt is around their average total offense tonight..this should keep them in the middle nineties in total offense ..they also haven't beaten any team with a winning record and ACC is 3-15 vs top 25 teams this year...Dobbs was right choice

Pitt is overachieving - no receivers and the entire staff has turned over every year for the last few years. It is amazing they have done as well as they have.

The acc coastal is just awful. NC or Duke will likely win that division.

Tyler Boyd from Pitt is an outstanding WR, one of the top WRs in the country. I remember the staff wanting him badly in 2013, got Paul Harris instead.....Pitt definitely got the better of that deal.

Worley was throwing some pretty good balls conserding he was getting knocked on his but half the time. I was really impressed with Worley in the GA game. He showed a lot of heart to come back in after he got throttled! He just about threw us into a W between the Hedges.
