It never ends. They're joining the Sun Belt to help replace the schools leaving for C-USA (who are replacing the schools leaving for the former Big East). They cannot play in the FCS playoffs again, even though they will not be FBS schools this coming season, as part of the transitional period. They can play in bowl games beginning in 2015.

Appalachian State Mountaineers, Georgia Southern Eagles to join Sun Belt, according to sources - ESPN

I suppose the next domino is for the SoCon to poach the Big South.

I kinda wish MTSU hadn't left the Sun Belt. I don't see the C-USA doing well in the future, whereas the Sun Belt could end up being a cool hybrid of lower-tier FBS/upper-tier FCS teams.

SoCon will probably add KSU and Coastal Carolina...since KSU just added football...wouldn't surprise me if Mercer joined in too

what makes you think that

I dont know, they finished a game out last year. They have 20 starters back.Basically every game they have lost over the last 3 years has come down to the very end. It really isnt much of a stretch.

Gotcha I didn't know if it was starters returning or what. Wofford may take a step back so chattanooga could slide right in there if they go up to Boone and beat App which is entirely possible.

Mercer is probably several years away. Just restarting the program and playing Division 3 next year.
