OK. In the market for some new appliances.

Fridge (French Door)
Washer/Dryer
Dishwasher (maybe)

What have you bought recently? What's Good? What to steer away from?

I'm leaning toward Whirlpool/Fridgadaire/Maytag.

I have whirlpool for all my kitchen appliances, wouldn’t get anything else.

WEnt to Electronic Express at lunch. THey have some great deals going. Looks like it may be whirlpool for everything except dishwasher and that will be an $800 Fridgidaire for 550 full stainless.

Bosch

They aren't cheap but much more durable than some of the crap out there today...

I was looking at some of their dishwashers. No heated drying on any of them. That was a deal breker for me. However, to you're point they are rated extremely well, they do cost money. Especially the fridges. But, the salesman also noted he has never had a complaint call on a Bosch. Just not in my budget.

If it’s something made in the last 15 years get the best extended warranty you can.

We’ve got Electrolux front loaders for w/d and a Bosch 500 series dw. They haven’t let us down yet.

GE stuff - haven't had issues but it's not that old (3 years or so).

Buy from somewhere that has competent delivery/installation - best if it's their own crew as opposed to outsourced (cough Home Depot cough)

Samsung, when we remodeled we went with all Samsung appliances 2 years and so far so good. Can't even hear the dishwasher running.

We have a Samsung fridge and washer/dryer. Wife likes them. They function without problems, so I like them lol.

Our LG front load washer and dryer have been great. Washer lasted 15 years...kid loaded something that put a hole in the plastic exterior drum.
Dryer still going strong.

Samsung fridge, but go with the indoor ice maker. The door model is notorious for problems. My parents just got one that makes two kinds of ice and has an indoor water pitcher.

Bosch dishwasher, hands down.

Oh, we looked at those. I just couldn't release the money it would have took to buy a set. By far the best on the the market.
I don’t own their dryer. Only the washer. I bought it from some guy in Smyrna who claims to be their largest retailer in the southeast. The blue sticker is something he put on to remind us not to use the water saver setting.

Gave the Bosch DW a serious look. But they do not have heat dry on any model. Deal breaker for me.

Wife and I went to Electronic Express yesterday and made selections. THey have fantastic mark downs going on thru October. I'm pleased with decisions. AS highly rated as some Bosch stuff is, they just were'nt in the budget. But, I will never turn my nose up at having a house full of Fridgidaire appliances. Hard to go wrong there.

Fridgidaire French Door fridge. 28 cu. ft. Packed with great features. THe coolest was retractable upper shelves for tall items. Two ice makers. One is in the bottom freezer tucked up above, and you can leave it off and use tray as extra freezer space. A great interior layout. And easily $1500 cheaper than comparable models/brands. And has a $200 rebate to get it down to 2K. Salesman bought one for his house.

Fridgidaire $820 stainless DW for $550. Salesman bought one for their house.

Fridgidaire 5 burner glass top range with standard, true convection, and air fryer oven. And a built in temp probe.

We veered off track on the W/D set. Wife picked out LG. LG W/D seem to be better rated than their other stuff and far less review comlaints. Salesman has used them for 12 years with no issues or complaints. But, they were $300 cheaper than the Whirlpools I was eying. I just wish they did have the wifi crap on them. If I ever look up my dryer on my phone, please shoot me. There's nothing left in life at that point. Ironically, the unconnected comaparable set was $400 more.

We went with all kitchenaid in our current house and they've been great. In our last house we had replaced our previous, builder grade dishwasher with a kitchenaid and got the same model in our new one. Our last 3 sets of W/D have all been whirlpool with no issues (and we wash a lot of clothes)

I'm a little torn on buying new W/D. WE have a Maytag Neptune semi front load. Tub is on aabout a 20 angle. I've replaved the tub bearings twice and getting close to another. But, it's over 20 years old and never had one other single issue. But, as with any front load washer, the smell and keeping clean part is a challenge at times. The dryer I bought from a reputable local used appliance refurbisher/re-seller. $125 and going strong. AS well as the dryer I picked up from him for my parents. But, the Sensor dry has never worked. I mostly just gave in on this venture. Neither one of us has ever owned a new appliance. I don't really care. I'd rather have re-built old school stuff that just works. But, this was not the battle to pick a fight.

BTW, if you or anyone you know are near Cookeville, I will be shedding a W/D, Fridge, Range, and DW in the next week. Range is excellent. Just wasn't going to fit in and I elected not to start a argument over it. She's due, so I just went along. Cheap to come pick up. No issues with D/W. No issues with W/D. Fridge actually works fine. Top freezer. But that drain hole from freezer coil freezes over and the condensation will run down into the fridge. I just keep a meatloaf pan under the holes. Maybe a little low on freon? I've took apart and melted all that out, but the drain hole froze over again in about 3 weeks. Otherwise works great. It does have a fresh water dispensor inside the fridge, a water filter, and ice maker. I just took the ice maker out for extra freezer space cause I didn't have the water line set up yet.

GE Range $250
GE Fridge $75
W/D $150 set (Maytag Neptune Washer & I think Whirpool dryer)
GE DW - $40
