Watching the Alabama game and absolutely thrilled with how we dominated the Tide's offensive line... something we haven't been able to say in more than a decade... Thank you Coach G!

While there is no doubt Coach G is absolutely the best in the business, I would not call that game as our DL dominating their OL. They scored 49 on us with 455 passing yards. We did good stopping the run and did average job pressuring the QB. It was not our best game for DL. We did, however, show some flashes of good pressure.

Our D-line was able to get some nice pressure on Young. It was just like the South Carolina game, it's not like Rattler just sat back in a clean pocket, he was flushed out a lot. Young was too.

At some point when the D-line is forcing the QB to react, the secondary has to make a play.

And therein, as they say, lies the rub.

I don't think the 455 in the air tells the story of this game. Sure stats are stats and the one sack sounds terrible, but Young had to create time to earn those yards. He was not able to just stand around and have all night. He was channeling some Vick elusiveness in the backfield. On top of that, they had to throw the ball 52 times to get those yards. It didn't come easy despite the secondary lacking some critical elements. That said, I don't think it was dominating but it was an above-average performance against Alabama's line.

I'm sure coach is a good guy, BUT, our defense was ranked 91 out of 131. C'mon man. We certainly expect more than that on Rocky Top.

So true.
Our front 6/7 has been good at disrupting the line of scrimmage, but our secondary, ...
They don't even have to be excellent, just win the coverage battles of a portion of passing plays, as opposed to being consistently exploitable, and it will have a strong effect on scoring D.

The key to the Bama 2023 season is they don't have Bryce Young.

Give Young his due. He was Bama's offense last season. When Hooker went down, Young was the best QB left standing. He was a generational player for Bama and the void in their offense will be felt. Several new position players will have to step up to match his play-making ability. He was special and his supporting cast did him too few favors, considering how much talent they had on the field.

They are returning less offensive production than any other SEC team. I expect Bama to be more conservative than the past 6 or 7 seasons, because I expect Saban to be more hands-on with Tommy Rees as OC.

Bruce Young torched our defense all day and Gibbs ran for over a 100 yards on us, we only won that game cause of Hooker, Bru and Hyatt and of course our FG kicker. I mean we gave up 42 offensive points to them that’s not dominating.

Alabama's kicker was our MVP.

The defensive line really did its part. The secondary didn’t

Who is this Bruce Young you speak of and does he have any eligibility left??
