I should have been clearer. When I say not sophisticated, I did not mean lyrically. I meant musically.

Its like punk without any semblance of melody.

There you go. Although it certainly has more melody than pure punk, it's that energy that draws people to it. Not a huge fan but I like the stripped down sound in this age of synths and overproduction.
