It seems like a wholel lot of fans are expecting Tennessee to win tonight. I don't know if that's good or bad. A loss, which would be three in a row, could be pretty hard to take for a sold out crowd. Thoughts?

I think it's both reasonable and unreasonable to expect a win. I certainly hope that our players expect to win though, it's going to be a tough game and they'll need all the confidence they can muster up.

I know I find myself expecting to win. I really think we can win. If we lose this game at home after the tough losses we have had on the road, it could be really tough to swallow for the fans and the team.

I can't see the harm... In fact, if we're all absolutely and completely delusional, maybe the players will be too- which I figure is what they need to actually do it. Sort've a self-fulfilling pathology......

I just saw the line is UF - 1.5. We are getting a lot of respect considering they are the #2 team in the country (or they are not getting any respect).

I think our fans are pretty realistic when it comes to men's basketball, don't you? Sure, there's a lot of smack talk going on and people predicting wins over UF but I think deep down, they know this team is doing their best with what they have.

I have to admit, I'll be disappointed if we don't beat them but we still have a bunch of games after that including the SEC tourney. As long as they keep improving, I think the fan support won't wilt too much. Maybe a little. We'll see.

Beating them would nothing short of spectacular though.

That's the thing though, I am not sure this team can improve very much. They have been getting about as much out of their talent as they can.

Actually, I think so many folks are betting on UF and so few on TN that they are adjusting the line early to try to tempt more Vol bettors in hopes of evening out their pool.

I sure wish I bet on sports- that line is a winner

This should be a great game. Dane and Co. gave the Tigers all they wanted. Playing #4 and then #2 back to back is hard core! Gators are overrated and I'm looking for the Vols to put them down!! :shades:

we expect our team to play to the best of their ability like they have been all year. That doesnt mean we will win all our games, but it gives us a good chance especially being at home.

I for one think Florida is way overrated. They couldnt play with Memphis or Texas as well as we did. I think UT handles them pretty well at least a 10 pt. win if we come out play our game and shoot well.

If we can play at the same level as we did at Memphis. I think we will take care of the Gators.

Kidding right? UF plays tough D and has a goood inside game to match either one of those teams..they could beat those teams.

sorry, I dont think your inside game matches either of theres. Aldridge is the number 1 nba prospect according to espn. He is huge on the inside. And memphis inside men are very good as well.. But I will give your guys credit, they are very good, I just think that i would take memphis' and texas' inside guys first is all....

but none of these teams can match LSU's inside guys, they play unbelivably good...

I'm certainly not expecting it. I just want UT to play them close the whole game like they did with Memphis. If they're within 5 points near the end, anything can happen.

I look forward to a good game. Not making excuses to begin with but UT's had 2 very tough games on the road w their limited roster & an undersized squad. UF IS a good team, and had the benefit of allowing their starters a breather against Sav. St. earlier this week.

I believe UT w hang for 3 qtrs, but UF's depth & talent will prevail. I hope I'm wrong!

Go VOLS!

In any case, should be a real measure how we are maturing.

well if ut has to hang with them for 3 quarters then we should win since they only play two right??? :focus:

Well, win or lose, this team has ALREADY more than met my expectations for this year. I'm glad we will have a full house, though. That can only help.
