Golden is a ball handler with very good scoring ability. Tobais Harris specifically stated he was coming to Knoxville as a point forward. Meaning he will be looking to score and dish out to teammates. This makes the "true point guard" arguement redundant. The pressing and flex system almost demands a PG that can score and handle the ball, which is something UT has lacked since CJ.
Golden will end up being a perfect fit if he is as billed. At 6'4", Ware is also a combo guard and could be best utilized in the same backcourt as Golden, while also providing depth at the 1.
For next year, Bone will have to just not kill UT by providing 10-15 minutes of relief time.
IMO, a PG is not a necessity except for depth reasons. Meaning it is time to stop getting the plug-ins of the JUCO world (Maze, Goins, etc.) just to fill a scholarship.
