If we are going to beat Florida and LSU, we will have to look ten times better.

At least we get an extra week off.

Still top ten. Won't hurt you in the end.

Defense did good stopping the run,but we need more work on pass coverage.

Relax fellas. Yer guys'll get it together. This happens plenty of times in the opening game. No way do you fall out of the top ten. At the very worst, I think you may fall to 4th. Although, I have no idea who would ascend to 3rd.

UT still has top 5 talent...just didn't look like it today. Whats important is that UT did get the win...unlike OU..and you have 2 weeks to work things out.

i think we'll go into our next game (UF) more focused. i couldnt believe EA. i figured he wouldve done a lot better. i say clausen definately gets the next start. hackney definately impressed me also, and hopefully our WRs will learn to catch a ball b4 we go to the swamp.

That question will be decided the next game. It doesnt matter now. If we beat Florida in 2 weeks we will be and if we lose we wont be.

Looking at what's been played so far, who would deserve to pass us.

Iowa played Ball State, Michigan is struggling to put away NI.

Neither of those teams are in the same class as UAB. While we didn't make the spread, we did sit on a td at the end, for the sake of doing the classy thing, which I always agree with.

Ball State is probably one of the 10 worst teams in the division.

Northern IL won several games last year but didn't beat anyone of note.

If Michigan moves out and beats them by 30 or so, then they might have an argument, but other than that I don't see it.

This may be the best thing that couldve happened as I agree with another post on another thread that said this close opener would be a player /coach wake up call for the Vols before the Gators and Tigers come callin. I think the Vols have the team to win it all again but their road schedule is brutal.

god if we win aginst florida then i think we will be able to take care of ourselves

wierd stuff happens all the time guys, lets not rip our team apart cause of a lack luster performance. Lets just get it done.

Like I've said, Georgia beat UAB by just 3 points in 2003 but still won the SEC East. So it's gonna be okay.

Yes we are still a top 10 team...We are still the #3 team...We did not lose...We played probably the hardest team out of anyone in the top 10...No one else beat anybody good enough to make them jump us.
