we would be 7-1 even though we've already lost to 2 teams on their schedule? How does that make any sense?

The Peterman experiment cost UT the Florida game. Georgia was still healthy, for the most part, when UT played them, and UT still took them to overtime.

You type as if if there nothing but letters on your keyboard. Ya know, there are also comma buttons, question marks, and the return button to start a new paragraph.

that's great but how do we get to 7-1 with those 2 losses?

I don't think Mizzou is 7-1 right now if they had played our schedule. I think that's the stronger argument. Still speculative, but probably closer to what the OP was trying to say.

If we played UGA and UF when Mizzou did, I also think we would have beat both.

Maybe, but the table was pretty well set to beat both anyway, especially Florida. They were giving it away that day. We were giving it away more, however.

Haha, we'd be 7-1. They are better then us but not by a ton. We have a chance but we are still the underdog. That realistic.

I'd say they would be 6-2 with losses to the #1 and #2 team in the country. Possibly 5-3 but not worse

I disagree with OP. If you have watched any Mizzou games you can see they have very good skill players. Dilussional Vols fans are in for a wake up call Saturday. Mizzou is still in the hunt for the SEC east and they will come out firing. I'm telling you, Mizzou had speed, talent and are well coached. I simply don't get why people are dismissing this. They put up points in a hurry. We saw the effect this has on our team against Oregon and Bama.

Considering they already lost to SCar, I'd say that the losses to #1 Bama and #2 Oregon would definitely make their record 5-3.

Mizzou is a better ballclub than UT right now, no doubt about it. These kids have played in Pinkel's system for some time, so there is familiarity with the schemes and with each other, and they have more team speed all around than UT does. Doesn't mean UT can't beat them, but it does mean UT will have to bring their A game on both sides of the ball.

If we win out , they may finish with the same record we do.

probably right but I was told in this thread that actual results don't matter if the game is played on a different day with another team's schedule. Just playing the game

I say we would still be 4-4. We just don't beat teams on the road . Our last road win against an opponent not named Memphis , Vandy or Kentucky was in 2007 and was against Miss St

As much as I like Worley personally, if we had a quarterback in place that truly fit the system, we'd only have two losses at this point.

We "should" of beat FLA with Murphy in. And Georgia is a joke after we beat up their team, especially without Gurley. Try reading

We don't match up well against their offense.
Also, we played that same injured Georgia team.
Justin Worley playing the whole Florida game might have gotten us a couple more field goals, but we wouldn't have won the game.
Vanderbilt isn't a bad team. They aren't great, but they certainly aren't bad at all. Missouri destroyed them. They also killed INdiana, who beat a good Penn State team.
