294-42 Vols. Feeling really hyperbolic today.

What's the over/under on Stokes getting PT? I'm not expecting him to see the court, but maybe something will work out...

I think 6-7 minutes for Thursday. 10 for Saturday.

Are you thinking stokes will really play thursday? im not saying your wrong, im hoping he absolutely does i just really dont expect it so soon. i anticipate him getting some minutes against UK saturday, somewhere in the 8 minute range seems about right.

Then again if he goes in there and makes terrence jones his b!t*h he might be staying in the game awhile longer. That would be AWESOME!

I hope it gets here fast. We won't have any VN posters left to celebrate. They are jumping off the bridges faster than the Vol Navy can dredge them up.

Stokes won't play until next week. My brother is a basketball team manager.

i really doubt he plays thursday but i am holding out hope that he will make his debut saturday. i dont think anything for major minutes and part of it may just depend on the flow of the game and how everybody else is playing. i think it is definitely a possibility though that he will see the floor saturday, but we will probably have a pretty good idea after the game thursday if he will or not.

I hope to see the same dynamic as the Florida game. Not many teams could beat that team that played florida. AND if you factor in Stokes... well I am pretty dang excited about basketball of the sudden.

I was having this same sort o conversation last night with a friend. The team we saw against Florida is how coach Martin wants his teams to play. If they bring that same tenacity and effort they will be in every game I honestly believe. When you play better defense than the other team and can out rebound them, and out hustle them you are not going to get beat very often. It now jut becomes a matter of bringing that same effort night in and night out.

CCM already said Stokes will not play this week. His status will be evaluated next week. All parties (coaches and Stokes) will need to "feel comfortable" about when he finally plays a game.

He did not say he won't play you need to go back and read or listen to his press conference. If it was up to jarnell he'd start Thursday don't think he's taking it slow, this will be Martin easing him in.

I watched State twice this season and not been too impressed. I'm hoping we can grind out a tough road win and let Stokes wet his feet a little before UK. With that front court, it would be HUGE if he could play some minutes.

Best case scenario would be we can get control of the game be up throughout let stokes play 5 minutes of scrub time, and up it to 10 minutes on Saturday. I think that'd be huge if he could just provide 10 minutes of spark off the bench against that uk front line.

I think just him being elgible and being able to come in will give the team a small spark. Considering how were going to go 16-0 in SEC play :D

I watched parts of their game against Arkansas (was also watching the Lions play against the Saints) and Arkansas controlled the game.

We can beat MSU...I'd just feel better if the game was at TBA instead of the Hump.

MSU played absolutely no defense and Stansbury made no adjustments at all. Arkansas was getting in the paint anytime they wanted too. Quite pathetic. Anytime I thought MSU was going to make a run, Arkansas would pretty much score at will and could of probably put 120 on 'em if they wanted too.

Horrible defense. We should have no trouble penetrating. As long as Martin finds something early that works, stick to it because I bet CRS doesn't adjust to defend it.

I feel alright about this game as they have had some good rest and time to scout them. I would also feel much better about this game if it was at TBA but maybe this team can carry the momentum from Saturdays game with them.

Hey Shaun, did you watch all the game?

If so, I think you should take the scouting report duties this week.

They now have confidence to beat good teams.

That can go a long way.

Curious to see where we go from that big win

I don't think the next two games are going to tell us much because these were tough games before Saturday to win. I'm really interested to see how this team competes.
