Ark vs Tenn recruiting

I ran across this in Volquest. These Arkansas fans have a lot of respect for UT and our recruiting. They give an unbiased view of their situation and ours. No piss and vinegar here. Educated and realistic fans on their board

I for one think that Petrino's team will be the surprise of the West. Ole Miss will stink it up and Arkansas will do well.

UT = surprise team of SEC East
Hogs = surprise team of SEC West

Interesting. I have, for the last few years hated Arkansas (I had a roommate who was a huge Arkansas fan - He was also a total d***) but, these fans seem like they know what they are talking about and aren't blinded by Arkansas red.

they are saying somewhat that the reason we are so successful is the money we can spend. while that is true you cant beat the traditions, history, and love for the the game surrounding the university. kiffin came in, talked trash, got his coaches, and is becoming a force in the recruiting world. and he basically did it all from scratch after what fulmer left him. much respect for him! hopefully it turns into wins asap!

I enjoyed reading that. Arkansas is not far off. A winning season with some big numbers and they will be able to get some nice recruits.

I personally think UT just puts a whole lot more time and effort into recruiting and it is starting to pay off. Also, as one poster said, Kiffin is making this like USC and that is a great thing. If UT can have the same success that USC had being in the SEC they will become a MONSTER!

They do seem to be more impressed with our staff than any other fanbase in the SEC. The fact is that we are getting great prospects because of tradition, facilties, and most importantly great recruiters with a lot of swagger. Young kids love that! They like that CLK talks a lot of $hit and backs it up, there is a lot of NFL experience on the staff, and they can play early. When it rains it pours and i see a monsoon on the horizon. This is only the beginning. Go Vols!
